Handwritten caption on the reverse of a print in the Simpson personal album collection (2007/174.69) states: "NZ4558 "Perce" being bombed up in preparation for strike. Emirau 1945. Taken July 1st. [the] day Andy Tye, Alec Baxter, Jack Torkington, Arthur Lambie were killed."
NB. The above crew were No. 4 Squadron, so it's assumed that this Ventura, NZ4558, is also No. 4 Squadron.
